First let’s read it.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Amazing, right? Well, let’s take a look at the first sentence.
“For God so loved the world,”. God loves the world! However, this “world” isn’t the Earth its self (because He will one day destroy it) but its the people on the Earth. So far, from this verse, we have learn’t that God loves you and me the same.
” that he gave his only begotten Son” This is the most amazing part! God loves us SO much, that He sent Jesus, is only begotten Son, to die on the cross for you and me. To get saved, all you have to do is repent, ask Jesus to forgive you and save you and believe that God rose Him from the dead.
“that whosoever believeth in him should not perish” This is amazing! It says “whosoever”. This means EVERYONE can become saved!! Not perhaps but whosoever! Amazing! And read the last part- “should not perish”. This means that ANYONE who has become saved, will not burn in Hell forever! Amazing!
“but have everlasting life.” Yes, this free gift of Salvation will give you everlasting life!
