A Christian YouTuber Speaks Out: “Dear Christians…” | What is Mercy

00:07
There is something is very wrong in many Churches today.
00:10
I’m not talking about the buildings, I’m talking about the people.
00:13
The title Christian, is supposed to mean something significant.
00:16
It is supposed to identify those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ, and
00:20
follow his teachings.
00:21
When someone calls themselves a Christian, the expectation is that they act like
00:25
Jesus Christ.
00:27
But here’s the problem.
00:28
While no one is perfect in and of themselves, too many people who declare that they are
00:32
Christians, are ignoring a key message Jesus taught.
00:35
When Jesus stood face to face with those who didn’t know God, He did not allow their
00:39
sins to determine their value.
00:41
He didn’t avoid speaking to prostitutes.
00:43
He didn’t curse the tax collecting thieves.
00:45
He didn’t delight in the pain of others bought on by sin.
00:48
When Jesus looked at people, their sins did not define them, instead he saw their sins
00:53
as imprisoning them.
00:55
Jesus was not only kind to sinners, he lovingly ran towards them with hope, to free them from
01:00
sin.
01:01
Jesus taught a message here, too many Christians are missing.
01:04
If you, Christian, are not kind to people, just because of their lifestyle, you missed
01:09
the message.
01:10
If you avoid people just because they’ve done wrong, you missed the message.
01:14
If you lack compassion towards those who hurt as a result of their sin, you missed the message.
01:20
The message too many Christians are missing is, be merciful.
01:24
None of us ever had it all together.
01:26
No of us is without sin.
01:28
We all have issues that we struggle with.
01:31
Just because someone sins differently then you have, that doesn’t diminish their need
01:35
of mercy, and our command to be merciful, as God was merciful towards us.
01:40
Remember, we never earned or deserved God’s love and compassion, but He freely gave it
01:46
to us.
01:47
That’s what Mercy is.
01:48
It’s withholding judgment, and instead offering a measure of grace.
01:53
This does not mean we should accept or overlook sin, it means, our love and compassion towards
01:59
the person, should not be determined by their past.
02:02
Psalm 103:8 says, “The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding
02:08
in steadfast love.”
02:10
In light of that truth, Jesus’ message to his followers is, “Be merciful, even as
02:15
your Father is merciful.”
02:17
Christian, don’t miss that message.
02:20

02:30
Well, that’s it for me, it’s time for you to open up God’s word and get munching!

    1. Anon, did you know that God loves you SOOO much, that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die the most horrible death in all of human history? John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

He loves you Anon! He doesn’t want you to burn FOREVER in Hell! Did you know that Hell is thousands of times hotter than ANYTHING here on Earth?????? God doesn’t want you to go there and I don’t either! You can escape it by getting saved:

      Romans 10:9
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

The only reason we humans believe that there is a God, is because God made us to know Him, but we just turned away. The only reason that, whenever you do something bad, you feel remorse, is that you are feeling the remorse Adam and Eve felt at the Fall.

The next question is: do you want to burn in Hell forever? It’s your choice.

P.S: I’m keeping this comment up so other people can see it and read it and my reply.
