So have you been wondering just how to memorize Bible verses? Well here’s how!
- When you find the verse or verses you want to memorize, brake it down into smaller parts. For example, John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” The main parts of this verse are the parts in between the commas.
- Memorize the first part, then the next, then the next, until you know the whole verse. So, with John 3:16, you would start with “For God so loved the world”. The main words here are, “so” and “world”. “For God” and “loved the” are the most easiest parts to remember, because they are what makes up the verse. Do this for the next parts of the verse.
- When you come to a hard part, for example, “that whosoever believeth in him”, repeat it over and over again until you remember that it says, “in him” not “on him”.
- If you make a mistake, then the best thing to do is just repeat the verse again. That way, you remember it far better.
Well I hope this guide has been a blessing to you.
