Tickets are used to get into things. Fairs, zoos- you name it!
However, have you got a ticket to Heaven? Have you? Are you sure you will go to Heaven when you die?
No good works can save you.
“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”
This means that this ticket is free. You do not need to do anything to get it.
“So, does that mean that everyone will be going to Heaven?” you may ask.
The answer is NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO! No.
Do you think you are a good person? Let’s see, shall we?
Have you ever:
Stolen anything, even if it is small.
Used God’s Name in vain, like O*G or J*s*us Ch*r**?
Looked at a man or woman with lust?
Ever been jealous?
Disobedient to your parents?
Watched something sinful on TV?
The list goes on and on.
However, it only gets worse.
Say you sin 5 times a day. This works out to:
18,250 sins at 10 years old.
36,500 at 20.
73,000 at 40.
109,500 at 60.
146,000 at 80.
182,500 at 100.
With the average human lifespan at 72 years old in 2016, this is 131,400 sins.
Can you imagine breaking the law 131,400 times? All of them serious crimes? I suspect you’d get executed!
So, we’ve all broken God’s Law.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
We are all condemned to Hell forever.
“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
This leaves us all to wonder- is there any hope?
The Love that prompted God to create us also prompted Him to send a Saviour. This is Jesus Christ.
He was born in the most humble way possible, in a manger.
At 30 years of age, He started preaching for people to come to Him for salvation.
Then, 3.5 years after He started preaching, He was betrayed by one of His people- Judas Iscariot.
He was put on trial and sentenced to death on the Cross. He had done nothing wrong.
He was beaten with a whip with bone and metal, ripping into His flesh and blood vessels.
He was then nailed to the Cross.
He slowly died of suffocation and heart failure.
He was then buried in a tomb.
However, the Grave couldn’t hold Jesus. Three days later, God rose Him from the dead.
Jesus defeated sin by dying on the Cross and defeated death by rising from the dead.
He’s the only One qualified to be an all-sufficient Saviour.
You can become saved right now by confessing your need of a Saviour and acknowledging that you are a sinner destined for Hell. Asking for forgiveness of your sins. Trusting in Jesus alone to save you.
So how about it? Will you receive this free Ticket to Heaven?
