What is God’s good news?

Recently I was patrolling the depths of Quora and I stumbled apon a question that said, “What is God’s good news?”. Here’s my answer:

That He has given us a Way to enteral life!

You see, we are all affected by something called sin. It’s what makes us do bad things and why the world is so full of evil. Worse of all, it keeps us out of Heaven.

You see, God can’t let sinners get away with it. He can’t just let us in Heaven scape free. He has to punish us. That’s why He sends sinners to Hell. Sin is eternal, so the punishment has to be eternal. Once you die, that’s it, your gone. You either go to Heaven or Hell.

However, there is good news.

God made us a Way to get to Heaven.

He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, to suffer and die for our sins on the cross. He shed His Blood to make a Way for the forgiveness of our sins.

After He died, He was buried in a tomb. However, the grave couldn’t hold Jesus. Three days later, He rose back to life again.

He defeated sin by dying on the cross and death by rising from the dead.

He did this for you.

To be saved, admit you are a sinner, a Hell-bound, dirty, filthy, rotten sinner and put your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

John 14:6

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.”

So, if you haven’t already, how about do it? How about get your sins forgiven? You have nothing to lose.”
